The Gradient table is a Limited Edition collaboration between The Regrainery of Portland, OR and me. 

The table top is urban salvaged Red Western Cedar from a diseased tree cut down in 2016 in Mountain View, Ca. We took one of four cookies salvaged from the tree, sandblasted it to create a ridged texture, and then ebonized it to mimic hundreds of years of decay. Aaron, from the Regrainery, and I designed the base together to taper at a sharp angle and finished it to increase in darkness as it reaches the top. 

The Gradient Table is a piece of art that symbolizes an ebbing magnitude that color and grain can impart on a piece of furniture as it passes from one point to another.
